Terms and Conditions
1. Booking and payment
Places on The Family Nest Baby Massage course are confirmed once full payment has been received.
The course fee covers five weekly sessions on the dates advertised at the time of booking.
Each place is for one parent/carer and one baby unless otherwise stated. If two adults wish to attend with the same baby, two places must be booked on a standard course - please contact me to discuss. Couples courses are available.
2. Course attendance
The course is designed for babies aged 0–12 months.
A parent or carer must remain with their baby throughout each session and remains responsible for their baby's care and wellbeing.
The Family Nest reserves the right to refuse attendance where this is reasonably necessary for the safety or wellbeing of a baby, parent/carer or other attendees.
3. Baby-led participation
Baby massage at The Family Nest is completely baby-led.
Babies are welcome to feed, sleep, cry, cuddle, wriggle or take a break whenever they need to. There is no expectation that a baby will participate in the massage for the full session.
Parents and carers are responsible for deciding whether massage is appropriate for their baby at any particular time and should follow advice from an appropriate healthcare professional where necessary.
Baby massage is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
4. If your baby is unwell
Please do not attend if your baby is unwell with an infectious or contagious illness.
If your baby is unwell and you are unable to attend a session, please let The Family Nest know as soon as possible.
Where availability allows, I will aim to offer a one-to-one catch-up session to cover the massage taught during the missed session.
If a one-to-one session is not possible, we may instead arrange a 30-minute catch-up before or after the next session you attend.
Catch-up arrangements are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
5. Cancellations by you
If you need to cancel your place, please contact The Family Nest by email or telephone.
A full refund will be provided for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the first course session, subject to any statutory cancellation rights that may apply.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the course begins, or after the course has started, will not normally be eligible for a refund.
Where appropriate, The Family Nest may consider alternative arrangements at its discretion.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
6. If The Family Nest needs to cancel
Every effort will be made to run the course on the advertised dates.
If The Family Nest needs to cancel an individual session, I will aim to offer either:
a replacement session; or
additional time before or after another session to cover the massage content missed.
If the course cannot be completed as planned, affected customers will be offered an appropriate alternative or refund, depending on the circumstances.
7. Changes to the course
The Family Nest may make reasonable changes to the running of a session where necessary, for example due to circumstances outside its control.
Any significant change that affects the service you have paid for will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.
8. Photography and filming
Photography or filming may take place during sessions for The Family Nest's marketing and social media.
Consent for the use of photographs or video is requested separately during the booking process.
Choosing not to consent to photography or filming will not affect your ability to attend the course.
9. Personal information
Information provided during booking and registration will be used to administer your booking, communicate with you about the course and provide appropriate support.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with The Family Nest Privacy Policy.
Please do not provide unnecessary medical or other sensitive information in the registration form. If there is something relevant that you would like me to know about you or your baby, please provide only the information necessary to help me support you during the course.
10. Responsibility and safety
The Family Nest will provide the course with reasonable care and skill.
Parents and carers remain responsible for supervising their baby and for following their baby's cues during the session.
If you have concerns about whether baby massage is appropriate for your baby because of a medical condition, injury or other circumstance, please seek appropriate professional advice before attending.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, or affects your statutory consumer rights.
